Privacy Policy
Version 1.0
What we collect
- License data: your email address (received from our payment provider), a license key we generate for you, and the amount, currency, and payment provider reference for your purchase. There's no account and no password — the license key itself is your access credential. We don't collect your name.
- Download activity: the IP address and timestamp of each successful download against your license key, used only to detect and prevent license-key sharing or abuse (for example, an unusual number of different networks downloading with the same key in a short time). This can result in a license being suspended pending a quick email confirmation from you — see the FAQ.
- Session/cookie data: a short-lived session cookie used for security (CSRF protection) and to carry your in-progress purchase or license-key request between page loads — not used to keep you signed in, since there's no account to sign in to — plus a small preference cookie to remember your light/dark theme choice. Both are strictly necessary for the site to function and are not used for tracking.
- Security logs: basic technical logs (timestamps, error details) used to diagnose problems and detect abuse, stored privately and not shared.
Analytics
Analytics is currently enabled on this site to help us understand overall traffic and usage, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive at the site. It does not use cross-site tracking or advertising cookies, and it is not used to build a marketing profile of you outside this site.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the services needed to run the business:
- Payment provider (PayPal, Razorpay, or Lemon Squeezy — whichever you choose at checkout): receives the information needed to process your payment — typically your email and payment details. They handle payment data under their own privacy policies.
- Hosting provider: stores the application and database that hold the data described above, under their own security safeguards. We don't share your data with our hosting provider for any purpose beyond operating the site.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing contact@businesspromptkit.com with your email and license key or order reference so we can verify it's you. For deletion requests, we anonymize your license record (removing your email) while retaining the minimum order/financial record required for accounting purposes — we don't delete paid-order history outright.
How long we keep data
We keep order and financial records for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law. Your email is kept for as long as needed to support your purchase and license; if you request deletion, we anonymize your license record as described above while retaining the minimum financial record the law requires us to keep.
